Current Control Ltd — privacy policy
Last updated: 19 April 2026
Current Control Ltd (“we”, “our”) is the data controller for personal information you submit through this website. This page explains what we collect, why, and how to contact us. It is written for the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
What we collect
- Contact details you submit through the quote form, contact form, or customer portal — name, phone, email, and the property/invoice address you give us.
- Job details you describe in the quote chat, including any photos you attach.
- Quote, invoice, booking, and payment status records that follow from those enquiries.
- Anonymous page-load metrics (URL path, viewport size, page weight) — see the cookies & telemetry notice.
Why we use it
- To respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote, schedule the work, and invoice you afterwards (legitimate interests / performance of a contract).
- To run the customer portal so you can review your quotes, invoices, and bookings (performance of a contract).
- To monitor site performance and reliability (legitimate interests). You can opt out of this — see the cookies notice.
- To meet our legal obligations (e.g. tax records, complaints handling).
Who we share it with
- Twilio — sends the SMS verification code when you sign in to the customer portal, and the booking confirmation messages.
- Stripe — processes deposit payments. Card details are entered on Stripe’s domain; we never see them.
- Mailgun — handles inbound and outbound email tied to your enquiry.
- OpenAI — powers the quote-assistant chat. The job description and photos you share with the assistant are sent to OpenAI to generate a response.
- Mind Matrix — our hosting and software-as-a-service provider; data is stored in their UK/EU infrastructure.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for advertising purposes.
How long we keep it
- Quote and invoice records: at least 6 years to meet HMRC requirements.
- Customer portal accounts and contact records: until you ask us to delete them, or 3 years after our last interaction (whichever is sooner).
- Anonymous page-load metrics: rolled into aggregate stats within 90 days; raw entries discarded after that.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to (a) confirm what we hold about you, (b) correct inaccurate information, (c) delete your data subject to our legal obligations, (d) restrict or object to our processing, and (e) port your data to another provider. Email mungo@currentcontrol.co.uk and we’ll respond within one calendar month.
If you’re unhappy with how we handle your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
